   The following are a list of services needed by the Blue Bookstore. Listed under each service is the name of the application that the Blue Bookstore uses to provide that service.

 

Front Office Information System

An information system that supports business functions extend out to the organization's customers

1. Sales

Bookstore sells any items to customers both by on-line and by off-line. If it cannot pass an item at the moment, it can reserve it.

2. Customer Service

Customer may ask questions or claim. Bookstore has to respond it based on knowledge.

Back Office Information System

An information system that supports internal system operations of an organization, as well as, reaches out to suppliers.

1. Ordering

Bookstore orders items to manufacturers or wholesalers. Also, customers can request any items to the bookstore.

2. Inventory

Bookstore administers stocks in warehouses. It checks warehousing, shipment, and stocktaking.

3. Human Resource/Payroll

Bookstore has to manage employees' status. Based on that, their salary is paid.
