Blue Bookstore consists of 5 departments: Ordering Department, Inventory
Department, Sales Department, Customer Support Department, and Human
Resource/Payroll Department.
Ordering department supports the ordering function of book, electronics
and merchandise. Additionally, it supports the outsourcing function of
food. Inventory Department supports the store of inventory for book,
electronics and merchandise. Sales Department supports sales activities
of book, electronics and merchandise. Also, it accounts for rent and
revenue gained from outsourcing party. Customer support department
supports customer services function for book, electronics, and
merchandise. Human Resource/Payroll department is an independent
department that supports the efficiency of all lines of business. Thus,
Blue Bookstore’s data warehouse was centrally designed to have 5 data
marts which are derived from 5 organizational departments. |
