Business Process Model (BPM)

A Business Process Model (BPM) is a conceptual model, which provides a close description of the business logic and rules from a business partner's point of view. A BPM uses a diagram that shows interactions between processes, flows, messages and collaboration protocols from one or several start points to several potential end points.

The objectives of the BPM are to document the customer organization's business in terms of its existing business processes and rearchitected business processes. The BPM is typically produced during the business architecting activity that documents the customer organization’s business processes, which include processes and workflows in the business analysis and processes in a new organized manner that helps the customer organization better understand their business presentation.

Business Process Map (BPM )

A Business Process Map (BPM) is a current and complete snapshot of the business. It is similar to a photograph in that it can provide immediate insight into any process in the organization. A BPM is used to model and analyze the companies’ business and to develop the organization and improve its effectiveness and quality of work.
