The adoption by Kitty Hawk Aeronautics of the EA3 framework approach for their EA engagement enables the use of a Common Operating Environment (COE) model for the underpinning technology infrastructure. A COE model provides guiding processes for technology investment, the standardization of product selection and the effective management of technology throughout its lifecycle.

A configuration Management database will be implemented to manage the components of the environment, including the IT Service Catalog, asset management and software licenses.
