The Basic KHA support services model can be represented with the front offices receiving services from back offices as shown:

Specific services provided to front offices from specific back offices are listed below:

A table containing the codes of the specified services is also listed:

Note: While most back office services are used by most of the front offices, some services are not provided to specific front offices. For example, Sales and Marketing services are not available for the R&D department and Manufacturing Services are not available to the Commercial Aviation Systems division as noted in the

Changes in Support Services

KHA currently has five sites that these front-office and back-office LOBs are located at. However, a Euro/Asian sub-division of the Commercial Aviation Division is planned. See page 13 of the:

Although initially this sub-division will likely be collocated at the Commercial Aviation division locations with support personnel in the field, eventually operating locations within Europe and Asia will be established. This will change the way many support services may need to be administered.

While all back-office services will need to be evaluated with perhaps some changes, most notably will be the impacts on technology support services. For example, currently all five sites are connected via T3 dedicated circuits. Each T3 dedicated circuit costs an average of $10,000 per month, providing optimal data service between the sites. However, T3 lines will be much more expensive to reach remote sites overseas, and the 45 Mb/s connection is not needed until the remote sites require heavy usage from an operating location with over 100 people. A view representing an SA-2 artifact considering the future expansion looks like:
