1. Purpose |
|
The contents of this document
describe the initial physical configuration required to support WELLCO ERP
suite for development, test, and production. |
|
|
|
2. Scope |
|
This configuration will support
the WELLCO ERP suite system requirements. |
|
|
|
3. Technical Description of the Technological Infrastructure |
|
This configuration needs to
support the WELLCO ERP suite system requirements for all environments,
development through production. The following environments will need to be
supported for the WELLCO ERP suite development and implementation:
-
Design Systems
-
Test Systems
-
Product Data Management
-
Quality Systems
The
application components to be supported for the delivery systems are as
follows:
-
Oracle
Database Instances to support above environments.
-
Tuxedo
Application Server Domains for specific Environment.
-
UNIX and NT
Process Schedulers for specific environment
-
Web Server(s)
for specific environment.
-
Vista Plus
for specific environments.
|
|
4. Data and Processes to be Distributed |
|
For WELLCO ERP the
expected number of concurrent users is around 400-500. The transaction
volumes in the development and test regions will be considerably less and
based upon the size of the development and testing teams. |
|

5. Description of the System Physical Configurations |
|
5.1 Physical Server Requirements |
|
The following
describes the number and types of servers required:
UNIX Servers:
(Database Servers, Application Servers, Web Servers, and Process Scheduler
Windows
2000/NT Servers:

5.3 Availability Requirements Implementation |
|
The production web, application and database server environment should be
configured as part of a high availability cluster but would not be failed
over to the production HRMS server except for testing.
The W2K NT Availability
configuration will be represented in the section 5.5 NT Process Scheduler
Processing/ Memory Requirements diagram.. |
