Support Service systems
provide the company's LOBs with innovative and effective common services
that support the competitive design and manufacture of aerospace and
defense products.
Support Service systems are
split into two categories: Front Office and Back Office. Front Office
systems support business activities that directly provide a product,
value, or service to customers. Back Office systems support activities
necessary to conduct business but do not have direct interface with the
customer.
The high level diagram below
depicts the Back Office systems and the services they provide to KWA
LOBs. Information technology is comprised of the technical
infrastructure, technology support and services which includes office
and desktop automation tools. IT is the enabler of information sharing
across the enterprise.
